AG Barney O'Reilly, PP Dick Jamieson and Rtn Graham Burt delivered 180 blankets to Sister Carmel and Father Julian of Forest Hill in Old Naledi. They then went deep into the Old Nakedi area to handout a few of the blankets and to see the conditions the people live in.
Sister Carmel and the local social worker took us to a make shift shack where we handed over 4 blankets to a young women. We then crossed the road and handed out 2 blankets to an elderly woman and then went down the road and handed out blankets to a large family unit that included a toddler, a couple of young kids and teenagers.
At our luncheon meeting, Acting President Mike Lakin official handed over 750 blankets and 220 rugs to Sister Carmel and 150 blankets to John Ntseane of Hope/Anchor.
Zac Construction donated 500 of the blankets to the club, 280 were the balance of the blankets donated by Mascom last year and the remainder were donated by Rtn Graham Burt on behalf of Consolidations Botswana.

Ten members of the club attended the official opening of the Tshedisa Institute. The institute is a wellness clinic which will provide care for the caregivers in the medical profession and also the non professional caregivers. The principle individuals involved in setting up the institute are Dr Diana Dickinson, Dr Ava Avalos and Dr Howard Moffat.
The club donated BWP 25 298.00 to the Tshedisa Institute. Acting President Mike Lakin handed over a cheque to the Trusties.

Nine wheelchairs were donated to patients at Princess Marina Hospital. The club was represented by President Mike Lakin, Rtn Yash Gureja and Rtn Graham Burt. The presentation was also witnessed by PDG Cliff Peake, Elsjie Peake, Blondie and Ian McGlashan all from District 9250 training team.

7 May 2006
The club held an International Interlude. Members who attended were encouraged to wear their national address. The unofficial winner for the best outfit had to go to Ian Rossiter.
The ladies provided dishes from their countries of origin.
By all accounts, a good time was had by all.
