The club donated 46 000 babies nappies to the Maternity unit of Princess Marina Hospital.

Rtn Norman Wiles transferred to the club from the Rotary Club of Port Louis. Norman is a graduate of Basic PRLS which had been held the previous week and he was also instrumental in providing a venue for PRLS.

Three new members were also inducted. They were Piia Pretsch, Graham Philips and Jan van der Merwe. Piia's classification is Pharmaceutical, Graham is in Property Management and Jan is in Domestic and International Relocations.

PRLS (Potential Rotary Leadership Seminar) comes to District 9250 and the two Rotary Clubs in Gaborone co hosted the first training seminar. The presenters where PDG Chris Molam of the Rotary Clubof Hunyani, Laurie and Maureen Bond of the Rotary Club of Bulawayo. The seminar was attended by Rotary members from 4 of the 5 clubs situated in Botswana being the Rotary clubs of Francistown, Gaborone, Gaborone Tirelo and Lobatse.

Consolidations Botswana took delivery of and unpacked a 12m container that contained abandoned cargo that had been donated to the Rotary Club of Gaborone by Safmarine/Maersk. The container contained 17 pallets of toys, 1 pallet of shoes and 5 pallets of baskets/coolers. These items will be distributed to various deserving individuals and organizations around Botswana.
