President Mike Lakin and 8 members of the club made the annual visit to the Children's Ward of Princess Marina Hospital to hand out presents to those unfortunate children who where in hospital on Christmas Day.

A wheelchair was donated to Sandy Farrar. This will give him a small amount of mobility.

Maureen and Laurie Bond were inducted into the Club. The Bonds had moved from Bulawayo in Zimbabwe were they had both been Past Presidents of the Rotary Club of Bulawayo. Maureen has been an Assistant Governor, District Administrator and is also a Director of Rotary Global History Fellowship. Laurie is very involved in PRLS and has been responsible for the introduction of the program into District 9250.

Bulawayo loss has been Gaborone's gain.

 "Collect a Can"

The club conducted it's third annual "Collect a Can" project. This year it was extended to run for three days at two locations. The collection points were Pick 'n Pay, Molapo Crossing and Pick 'n Pay, Riverwalk.

Sixteen supermarket trolley loads of canned and other foods were donated with a street value estimated at being in excess of BWP 30 000.00.
