2nd Ambulance                  Each ambulance was packed with tents etc

The unpack was all done manually as the ambulances batteries had been immobilized and the vehicles had to be removed from the container before it was possible to open the bonnet and reset the switch. After that it was possible to start the vehicles and drive them to the parking area.

On the Saturday morning, 10 Rotarians headed by President Mike Lakin traveled to Gamodubu which is a village about 30 km south of Gaborone. The object was to hand over some of the food that had been donated to the club during our "Collect a Can" project in December.

A primary teacher, Shirley Madikwe, has been running a feed scheme at Gamodubu for some 135 orphans. The Inner Wheel Club of Gaborone has been supporting this venture through the effects of Marion Nolan.
